In a world shattered by the Great Silence, you are a Rune-Seeker, one of the last to wield the old magic. The Ashen Abyss—a perpetual storm of decaying reality—consumes the land. Your quest: venture into its heart to recover the Prime Runes and restore the cycle of creation.

Combat is a chess-like puzzle. Position yourself strategically, cast runic spells by typing incantations (`FIRE`, `WARD`, `SHIFT`), and exploit enemy weaknesses. Discover cryptic lore in hidden terminals, deciphering the logs of a lost civilization to uncover the true cause of the Abyss.

A minimalist text adventure where every choice matters. You are a lone wanderer in a world of ASCII art.

You stand at a crossroads. Paths lead [N]orth into dense forests of `&&&`, [E]ast toward mountains of `^^^`, [W]est to a river of `~~~`, or [S]outh back the way you came.

You flee, losing the key. The forest path ends at a wall (`|`). A hidden door has a keyhole. Without the key, you are trapped.

New choices await. Perhaps go East to seek the mountain sage `@`, or West to bargain with the river trader `$`. Your story is written one character at a time.
